How payment works
- Nothing is charged during the 14-day trial.
- Before the first payment Paddle reminds you by email.
- If you cancel during the trial through the link in the Paddle emails, you pay nothing. Otherwise the chosen amount is charged after 14 days.
Since 1 October 2026 the free horizon of up to 48 hours applies to all price endpoints. All integrations named here stay free; for integrations explicitly marked as beta the free horizon can differ. What counts is always meta.allowed_horizon_hours in the API response.
No blanket promise of savings
Private Pro pays off mainly if you regularly plan larger loads over several days. Whether that saves you more than the equivalent of about €1.66 a month depends on your tariff, your consumption and your flexibility.

Measured, not promised
What the forecast actually brings when charging
What is measured is a decision made every evening. By then the day-ahead prices for tomorrow are fixed, those for the day after are not. Your car or battery has to charge for 4 hours once within the next two days, and you do not mind which day it is.
An example. On Tuesday evening the prices for Wednesday are fixed, those for Thursday are not. If the forecast expects the cheaper 4-hour window on Thursday, it advises waiting a day. On Friday we check against the published prices: was Thursday really cheaper, and by how much?
- Without a forecast you would charge on Wednesday, because that is the only day you can see. That is our baseline.
- With the forecast you wait for Thursday whenever it advises you to.
- What waiting brings is the price difference between the cheapest window on Thursday and the one on Wednesday, over every evening the forecast advised waiting. Where waiting backfired, Thursday was dearer, and that counts as a negative saving.

Why a median and a mean?The median is the middle case: on half of the days you waited the saving was larger, on the other half smaller. The mean is the total divided by the count, so a few very cheap days pull it up. When the two are far apart, the saving came from a few big days rather than many ordinary ones.
Wrong advice is countedThe saving covers every piece of advice to wait, including those where the day after was dearer. The figure is net, not the sum of the good days.
What reaches your billThe measure is the day-ahead market price in the cheapest 4-hour window of each day. On a dynamic tariff that passes this price through, the difference reaches your bill, plus VAT. Taxes, levies and fixed grid fees do not depend on the day you pick.
“Today or tomorrow?” is the same question asked in the morning, before tomorrow's prices appear around 13:00. We have measured that version, today's remaining hours against tomorrow, separately since 25 September 2026 and will show it once it is reliable.
And with 120 hours?
The figures above are for the choice between tomorrow and the day after, which the free access with 48 hours already covers. Private Pro extends the same choice to up to four days: a flexible load has more days to pick a cheap one from. Whether that pays off we have measured since 24 September 2026 with the same method and against the same baseline: every evening we record which of the next 2, 3 and 4 days the forecast would choose and later compare it with the actual prices. First results for four days exist from 28 September; they count as reliable from 30 scored decisions, around the end of October. They will then appear here and on the quality page.

- You enter the key as a Bearer token in your integration; requests with
hours=120are then possible.
Term and cancellation
If you do not cancel during the 14-day trial, €2.49 a month or €19.90 a year is charged, depending on your choice. The subscription renews automatically at the chosen interval until you cancel it. Management, invoices and cancellation are handled by Paddle.

DeliveryThe API key is provided digitally right after the successful checkout. The full Private Pro service already applies during the trial.
Key not shown or lost?Do not start a second checkout. Write from the email address used for the purchase to StrompreisVorhersage@proton.me. After matching it with the Paddle subscription we issue a new key and block the old one. Never send payment or card details by email.
Cancellation and refundsYou manage or cancel your subscription through the link in the emails from Paddle. Paddle handles payment, invoice, withdrawal and refund requests under the applicable statutory rules. For technical problems write to StrompreisVorhersage@proton.me.
What Private Pro is not
Private Pro does not allow commercial use, passing the data on or use in customer projects. Companies, installers and providers can request commercial access; we do not publish a flat self-service plan for that yet.
Technically the forecast never reaches further than the data that actually exists. “120 hours” is the maximum horizon you can request, not a guarantee that exactly 120 complete hours are delivered at every moment.
